UAPSA ISU-Ilagan Chapter Website — Terms of Service
By creating an account and using this website, you agree to these Terms. Electronic acceptance and transactions made through this site are valid and binding under the E-Commerce Act of 2000 (R.A. 8792). These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
1. Eligibility. You must be a bona fide student of the BS Architecture program at Isabela State University – Ilagan Campus (or a duly authorized officer/administrator) to create an account. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement.
2. Account Responsibility & Security. You are fully responsible for every action taken under your account — posts, comments, likes, and all activity. Keep your login credentials secure and never share them. If your account is accessed or used by anyone else (whether shared, leaked, or stolen), that is your own negligence; the developer is not responsible for account leaks or for any activity carried out under your account. Report suspected unauthorized access to the developer or a UAPSA officer immediately.
3. User Conduct & Content. You are solely responsible for all content you publish. You agree not to post content that is: defamatory or libelous (Revised Penal Code, Arts. 353–355); obscene, harassing, hateful, or threatening; infringing on copyright or other intellectual property (Intellectual Property Code, R.A. 8293); constituting online libel, identity theft, illegal access, or any computer-related offense (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, R.A. 10175); depicting child sexual abuse or exploitation (R.A. 11930); or otherwise unlawful under any Philippine law.
4. Content Ownership & License. You retain ownership of the content you post, and you grant the website a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the platform. You warrant that you own or have the right to post everything you upload.
5. Data Privacy. Your personal data (name, email, username, year level, and posts) is collected and processed only to operate this website, in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (R.A. 10173). By creating an account you consent to this processing. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by contacting the developer.
6. Reporting & Takedown. The developer and chapter officers may remove any content that violates these Terms. If you encounter a violation, report it to the developer or a UAPSA officer. Copyright owners may request removal of infringing content.
7. Moderation, Suspension & Termination. We may remove content, or suspend or terminate accounts, for any violation of these Terms — with or without prior notice.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability. The website is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer and the UAPSA-ISU Ilagan Chapter are not liable for damages arising from user-generated content, third-party links, service interruptions, or data loss.
9. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer and the UAPSA-ISU Ilagan Chapter from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from content you post, or from misuse of your account. Responsibility for unlawful or malicious content rests with the user who posted it.
10. Prohibited Uses. You may not: attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload the site; scrape or copy content in bulk; impersonate others; spam; distribute malware; or use the platform for any illegal purpose.
11. Changes to These Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the proper courts of the Philippines.
13. Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
